According to Premi Lasari, Head of Jakarta Dinsos, his party imposed strict procedures to assure the eligibility of prospective adoptive parents (COTA) in the child adoption process.
She continued prospective adoptive parents should meet various requirements administratively and materially. The selection process begins with the submission of documents by COTA, which are then thoroughly verified.

Then she provided various forms of support to children who were to be adopted during the adoption process. Social workers actively provide motivation, emotional support, and consultation services to children and COTA.
"It aims to ensure a smooth transition and help the child adapt to the new family," she explained.
She added that Dinsos was also assisted by various parties who were members of the Child Adoption Permit Consideration Team (PIPA) in conducting the child adoption process.
The team consisted of Social Ministry as supervisor, Polda Metro Jaya; Law and Human Rights Ministry Regional Office; Religious Ministry Regional Office; Regional Secretariat's Social Welfare Bureau; Health Agency; Population and Civil Registration Agency; and Jakarta PPAPP Agency.
Aside that, the team also included Social sub-agency from five city areas, Social Ministry's Social Rehabilitation Companions, Independent Independent Professional Social Workers (IPSPI), Child Protection Agency (LPA), and Jakarta Dinsos Workers.
She explained that Dinsos was committed to providing the best service in every child adoption process. By involving professional staff from various institutions, Dinsos assured every child receives the best care following children's rights.
"This program is also part of Jakarta administration's efforts to create a child-friendly city, where every child has the same opportunity to grow and develop in a healthy and supportive environment," she closed.
